Hey Teacher Friends,
Do you ever struggle with parent communication? I want to share with you this free communication platform that allows you to easily share classroom information with your parents! Accessing Classtag is super easy, you can use it at home or at school, on the app, or on their website. There’s plenty of user-friendly tools and features that can get you started right away!
Not sure how to get started? Here’s a quick guide on how to create an account and start communicating with parents right away! (did I mention you can also collect rewards, like TpT gift cards?!? Yes, please!)
Walkthrough:
First, sign up here with your email and confirm your account email in one click. (This app is completely free!) Next, simply add your students with names and a photo (optional) and add parent information (email and/or phone number)
After the initial set-up, you can start communicating right away! You can post about field trips or upcoming conferences. You can ask for parent volunteers and keep track of who has volunteered for different class activities. You can even create to-do lists for parents, making requesting items for class events easy!
Easily post class photos and event photos! Share with parents and you can see who has viewed specific items!
Rewards:
Just by using the app , classes can earn up to 500 coins per month when teachers and parents communicate on ClassTag! Awesome rewards include items like a laminator, a STEM kit, books, and TpT gift cards!
Weekly Summaries
One of my favorite features of the ClassTag app is the Weekly Summary.
The weekly summary automatically sends a personalized email to each parent. It shows their week at a glance, including what they have signed up for and what is still available.
Automatic Translation Feature
The ClassTag app has the ability to automatically translates your message to parents into the language of their choice. How amazing is that? It can also translate your message to their preferred type (email or SMS) and reach them on any device (even before they sign up).
With the upcoming new school year in August, I hope you find this app useful to you!
